L8 compliant Legionella risk assessment is an important and very specialist field. Locating stagnant water, dead legs and nutrient rich areas susceptible to bacterial proliferation is no simple task for the untrained persons.

Furthermore, once these areas have been recognised, it can often be even more complex as to how or what measures are needed to control, manage or reduce the risks. We advise that you do not attempt to carry out a Legionella risk assessment yourself unless you are adequately trained, and can demonstrate that you are entirely competent to do so. After all, this is how enforcing bodies will view it should a problem occur in your work place.
